Kirtan with the OMBuds

Location:  Planet Botanix – 301 Bank Street (Centretown, Ottawa)

Friday 27 September 2019, 19.00 – 20.30

Join local kirtan group, the OMBuds, for a blissful exploration of Bhakti – a devotional branch of yoga. Kirtan is a beautiful practice that helps to quiet the restless mind and promotes emotional release that can ultimately be transformed into bliss. This is realised through chanting powerful mantras and spiritual songs, which produce intense, high vibrations that promote a sense of liberation and well being among those present. Simply being in the space allows you to absorb and benefit from this positive energy, but one will quickly discover that singing along greatly amplifies these amazing effects!

We have a vast repertoire of chants and songs that feature a lovely mix of music genres, and we also provide song sheets and explanations for the mantras, in order to help you to better appreciate the significance of the mantras. No experience in yoga, music or otherwise is needed…we aim to make everyone feel completely safe and comfortable to explore this practice to the extent that they wish to. So, sing! Dance! You need not fear being judged…we will delight wholeheartedly in your willingness to embrace the practice!
