Workshops & Events

In keeping with Sir Dharma Mittra’s strongly rooted karma yoga tradition, Justine donates the proceeds from her workshops to various charitable organisations, among which have included:  Care Canada, the Yoga for Multiple Sclerosis Calendar fund, the Military Family Resource Centre, and the Ottawa Sexual Assault Support Centre.  By attending her events, you, too, will be contributing to a needy cause.  Please, come and help support your global community…after all, we are all ONE!


Acrobatic Partner Yoga

What better way to embody the spirit of union than through acrobatic partner yoga! Learning to establish trust, developing sensitivity, communicating effectively, and increasing mindfulness all come as a result of this amazing practice. As for the physiological benefits, they are many: limb strengthening, core stability and awareness, improved balance and alignment and coordination, augmented spatial perception, and increased flexibility, to name a few… Come join Justine and Dan for this incredibly fun and addictive exploration of partner-based yoga, and embrace the support and comradeship of your Adi Shesha peers! Holiday Kirtan with the OMBuds

Kirtan has been described as the easiest way to experience divine bliss, through the cultivation of strongly positive emotions and connection with community. All can benefit from such a liberating outlet. Come and experience a heartwarming music based practice that is bound to elevate you to a state of exhilaration and ignite in you a profound quietness of the mind and deep sense of belonging!

An eclectic mix of music will frame traditional mantras and yogic themes, which feature both world renown songwriters and kirtan wallahs, and the OMBuds’ original works. And, given that it’s the holiday season, you can expect to hear some classic carols as well! Song sheets will be provided.

A truly uplifting and moving experience is in store for you…be sure to mark the date and plan to attend!

Kirtan for a Sunday Afternoon

Join us for a bliss filled afternoon of chanting mantras set to sweet and simple melodies and singing bhajans (spiritual songs) that speak to the heart!

Kirtan is a music based expression of Bhakti (devotional) yoga that is incredibly uplifting and soothing, and delivers the added benefit of connecting with community. Through the release of strong positive emotions, one eventually attains bliss and calmness of mind.

Come discover this amazing practice, led by Rebecca White Raven and Anjali Om (Yogini Justine), that provides the best kind of nourishing soul food!

OMBuds’ Christmas in the Market

Location: Byward Market Square building – 55 Byward Market Square (Byward Market, Ottawa)

Saturday 21 December 2019, 11.00 – 13.00

The OMBuds are delighted to be carolling in the Byward Market Square building on the weekend leading up to Christmas, to promote good cheer and get everyone into the spirit of Christmas! We will be offering a set that includes a variety of traditional Christmas carols along with other light and love filled songs…and we would love if you dropped in to listen and perhaps even sing along with us!

We will be setting up either in the rest area located on the first floor of the Byward Market Square building (the long multi-merchant building in the heart of the Byward Market, with Moulin de Provence at the north end,
and Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory near the south end) or near the art gallery on the second floor. If you don’t spot us, just listen for us…
